Ancedotes

I remember all the times we would be driving somewhere and the whole way to where ever we'd be going, he'd be lecturing me. To this day he still does, but I don't mind it. His lectures are never boring at all. There's a way he tells them that just keeps me interested. He's knows exactly what its like to be a teenager and all the temptations one gets, and he knows how to get past them. Thats what he teaches me. For example, say you start going to the gym trying to get in shape for whatever sport your playing. Well one day all your friends want to go out on the day your supposed to work out. So you skip that day then you end up not going the next day and the next day. Eventually you end up not going at all. Then you end up doing bad in the sport you play because your not in shape. Then you'll look back at yourself when your an old man you wont be able to say you were a monster athlete. I've never looked at it like that before.
Another thing I really admire about my dad is his determination. He always gives everything his all. Every thanksgiving we have a little football game where everyone plays. Usually my dads team wins. He'll just go full throttle on every play. Some say he even tries too hard, but he doesn't care. He just keeps on keeping on.
